At Thicket, we proudly pay the highest wages of any contract tree planting company in the country. This means we attract the most experienced and qualified planters Australia has to offer. Everyone on our team is handpicked for their onsite demeanour and attitude, as well as their skill and expertise.
We completed our first project in May 2022 with three people, a few shovels, and a hired ute and haven’t looked back since.
By the end of 2023, we had a team of 25 servicing all of greater Victoria, along with parts of NSW, and had just installed our 3 millionth plant. By the end of 2024, we had a team of 45 people in Victoria alone, with smaller teams in both Brisbane and Sydney.
Our rapid growth is a testament to the quality of our work and the relationships we’ve built, not only with our clients, but also with our suppliers, councils and the broader planting community.
Since 2022, we’ve contributed to a variety of meaningful projects including mass plantings for urban developments, revegetation to restore natural habitats and large-scale civil construction works. We’ve planted kilometres of railways and roadsides, greening the spaces we pass through every day.
Our commitment ensures that every plant is given the best start possible. From wetlands and drainage corridors, to carbon offset and nature restoration our work has a lasting environmental impact.

From inception we’ve helped deliver some incredible projects all across the country. Although the bulk of our work is up and down the east coast we also take on large regional projects outside the capital cities.
With our largest operation based here, we’ve made significant contributions to numerous projects, including Level Crossing Removals from Geelong to Pakenham and extensive works along riverways and wetlands. Our team has also engaged in vital revegetation efforts in various regional locations, greening the landscapes of Victoria. From Bendigo to Ballarat, Colac to Clyde at this point we’ve pretty much planted in and around every hub in the State.
In early 2024, we expanded our reach by establishing a small but dedicated team in Sydney. Since then, we have been busy with back-to-back projects, including large-scale plantings in Newcastle and the Central Coast as part of the Renewable Energy Zone.
At the request of some of our longstanding national clients in Victoria, we began the move to Brisbane in late 2024. With a few projects already under our belt in Brisbane and the Gold coast we’ve since booked in major roads and revegetation works from Toowoomba to the Sunshine Coast and everywhere in between.
